Gateway Band
Gateway Band brings a unique and soulful blend of jazz-gospel fusion to every performance, effortlessly moving between genres such as contemporary, sacred, jazz standards, gospel, pop, rock, musical theater, country, and more. Comprised of exceptionally talented and versatile musicians, the band has performed for a wide range of events, throughout Greater Cleveland. Their performances have graced some of the region’s most cherished venues, including Trinity Cathedral, where they led Sunday services for over 20 years. Their presence extends beyond Ohio, having performed at prestigious venues in New York City and on the East coast, enriching communities with their dynamic and spiritually resonant sound. Their two most celebrated programs that have become annual traditions in Cleveland for over 15 years include their "Jazzy Christmas" that delights audiences with fresh, captivating arrangements of beloved holiday tunes, seamlessly blending secular and sacred themes into an immersive experience. Their "Good Friday Blues & Lamentations," tells the Passion of Christ through a deeply moving fusion of spirituals, jazz, gospel, and poetry, a performance that has been embraced both in Cleveland and New York City to critical acclaim. With a legacy of innovative musical storytelling, heartfelt performances, Gateway Band continues to inspire and uplift audiences.
